(In the Name of the God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

  
"O People, please lend me an attentive ear,

for I do not know whether after this year, if I will ever be with you again.
 
Therefore, please listen to what I am saying to you carefully,
 
and take these Words to those who could not be here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred,
 
so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a Sacred Trust.

Return the goods entrusted in your care to

their rightful owners.

Harm no one, less harm may come to you.

Remember, that you will meet your Sovereign Lord God one Day,

and He will reckon you for your deeds.

God has forbidden you from committing usury.

Therefore, all interest obligations should

heretofore be waived.

Beware of Satan

for the safety of your Faith.

Satan has lost all hope that he will ever be able to

lead you astray in big matters,

so, beware of following Satan in the small ones.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights

with regards to your spouse, but,

they also have rights over you.

If your wife abides by your right, she should

be fed and clothed in kindness.

Do treat your wife well, and be kind to your wife,

for they are your partners and committed helpers.

And, it is right that your spouse does

 not make friends with anyone whom you do not approve of,

 nor commit adultery.

O People, please listen to me with earnestness, 

worship God alone,

say your five daily prayers,
 
fast during the month of Ramadan, and give to the needy in charity.

Perform the pilgrimage, if you can afford to do so.

Know that every Muslim is the brother of every other Muslim.

We are all but equals.

No one has superiority over any other person,

except by piety and good deeds.

Remember, one day you will meet before your Sovereign Lord God,

and you will answer for your deeds in life.

So, beware, do not stray from the Path

of Righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me,

and no new Faith will be born.

Reason well, therefore, O People,

 and understand My Words which I convey to you today.

I leave behind me two things,

the Qur'an and the Sunnah,

and, if you follow these, you will never go astray from the Right Path.

All those who listen to me shall pass on My Words to others,

 and those to others again;

and may the last ones who hear My Words
 
may they understand them
 
better than those who listen to me directly.

Be My Witness, O God,

that I have conveyed Your Message

to Your People."
