surah 87 the most high

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

Exalt the holy name of your Sovereign Lord,

The Most High,

who created and balanced the earth,

who destined and Guided mankind,

and who brings forth life from the pasture,

and later, causes the grass to darken and perish.

O Muhammad, We will make you recite the verses of the Qur’an,

and you will not forget, except what God wills.

  Indeed, God knows what is revealed, and what is hidden.

And, We will ease and make your burden light.

So remind them, if you think that mankind will benefit from the Truth;

and he who fears God will be reminded of it.

But, the wretched and evil ones will avoid the Truth –

they will enter and burn in the greatest Fire of all,

and they will neither perish, nor live therein.

He who purifies himself of sin will succeed in overcoming the Fire,

he who mentions the name of his Sovereign Lord with piety and prays to Him.

But, you prefer this worldly life,

over the life of the Hereafter, which is better and more enduring for you.

Indeed, this is in the former Scriptures,

and the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
