surah 72 al jinn

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

Say, “It has been Revealed to me that a few of the jinn listened to me,

saying, ‘We have indeed heard an incredible Qur’an.

It Guides to the Right Path, and we Believe in it.

And, we will never associate anyone with our Sovereign Lord God.

And, it teaches that our Sovereign Lord is the Most Exalted and Most Noble;

and He does not take a spouse, nor have progeny.

The foolish among us, such as Satan, has been talking about God an evil sin.

And, We thought that neither jinn, nor mankind, would talk lies against God.

And, there were some people among mankind

that sought refuge in man from the jinn,

thereby only increasing their burden of sin.

And they thought, as we did, that God would never send anyone as a Messenger.

And, we tried to reach Heaven, but found it heavily guarded and with burning flames.

And, we used to sit and collect information from the other angels

 by eavesdropping,

but whoever does so now will find a burning flame waiting for him.

Therefore, we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth,

or whether God will Guide them to be on the Right Path.

And, from among us you will find both the Righteous, and the not so righteous;

for we are of divided religions.

And, we are certain that we will never cause failure to God on earth,

nor can we escape Him through flight.

And, when we heard the Guidance of the Qur’an, and we Believed in it.

And, whoever Believes in the Sovereign Lord God of all Creation,

need not fear deprivation, nor fear his burden of sins in the Hereafter.

And, among us are Muslims in submission to Allah,

and also among us are they who are not just. 

And, whoever submits to God - they are on the Right Path -

But, as for the unjust defiant ones, they will be firewood for Hellfire.'

And, God Revealed that if they had remained on the Right Path,

He would have given them abundant provisions,

so We might test them thereby.

And, whoever turns away from remembering his Sovereign Lord God,

he will placed into a difficult punishment.

And, God Revealed that the Houses of Worship are for Allah,

so do not call God’s name and associate Him with any other name.

And, when the Servant of Allah, the Prophet Muhammad,

 stood up and prayed to God,

they came about him tightly in a large mass."

O Muhammad, say,  “I only call upon my Sovereign Lord God,

and do not associate any others with him.”

Say, “Really, I do not wish for you harm,

for God is the Guide to the Right Path.”

Say, “Without a doubt, none will protect me from Allah if I disobey,
 
nor will I find refuge in anything other than Allah.

But, I have for you Revelation from God, and his Messages.”

But, I have Revelation for you from Allah and His Holy Messages.

And, whoever disobeys God and His Messenger,

then for him is the Fiery Blaze of Hellfire; wherein he will abide therein eternally.

When the DisBelievers see that which they were promised would occur,

 they will know who is the weakest of those who supposedly help them,

 and they will be less in number and Might.

O Muhammad, say, “I do not know if what my Sovereign Lord God

 promised you is near or far away."

God Knows all that is unseen,

and He does not disclose to anyone his Divine Knowledge of the unseen,

except whom He has selected of His Messengers.

And, indeed, He descends before him and behind him observers 

so that he may know that he revealed the Message

of their Sovereign Lord,

and that He Knows whatever is with them,

and specified all verses by number.
