surah 67 ultimate power

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

 

Blessed is God in whose power is ultimate authority,

and He is over all matters competent –

He who created life and death,

to test to see which of you is best in good deeds.

And, He is the Most Exalted in Power, the Most Forgiving.

And, He created the Seven Heavens, one over the other.

And, and all of the Most Merciful’s creations are compatible with one another.

So look at the sky, do you see any irregularities or gaps there?

Then, look again repeatedly.

 The sight of same is humbling to mankind.

And, We beautified the heavens with brilliant stars.

And, the devils are kept from eavesdropping from Us throwing star flames at them.

And, We have prepared for them a punishment of the Fiery Blaze for their deeds.

And, as for those who DisBelieve in their Sovereign Lord,

their punishment is Hellfire, a horrible destination indeed.

Whilst they are cast therein,

 a dreadful swallow will be heard while it boils up in intensity.

It boils up with rage. 

Every time someone is thrown into the Fiery Blaze,

the fire tenders ask them, “Weren’t you warned about DisBelief?”

They will say, “Yes, we were warned but we denied the Truth. 

And, they continued, “God did not send down to us anything.

You are nothing but in error.”

And, they will say, “If only we had listened, or understood,

we would not have been Companions of the Fiery Blaze.”

And, they will repent and admit their sin.

So, they are turned away from the Blaze.

Indeed, those who fear their Sovereign Lord sight unseen

who will have their Lord’s Mercy and Forgiveness,

and a great reward.

And, whether you whisper so no one hears you,

or whether you say words out loud,

your Lord knows all that you feel within your heart.

Doesn’t He Know all of His creations?

He is not well understood by the minds of mankind,

 yet, He is well acquainted with them.

It is He who made the earth subservient to you,

so walk among the gentle slopes,

and eat of the sustenance He has provided for you.

And, to Him you will all be returned on the Day of Resurrection.

Do you feel safe and secure knowing that He holds all authority in the heavens,

and will keep the earth from swallowing you suddenly in an earthquake?

Or, do you feel safe and secure knowing that you will not

be showered upon with a shower of stones?

Then, you would know how stern the warning was.

And, already had those before them denied the Truth,

and how terrible was God’s punishment upon them.

Do they not see the birds glide above them with their wings

outspread, then folded in?

Nothing holds them aloft but The Most Merciful.

Indeed, He sees all of His creations.

Or, who is that comes to your aid when you call, other than The Most Merciful?

The DisBelievers are but in delusion.

Or, who would provide for you if He withheld of His sustenance for you?

But, they persisted in taking liberties, and turned from the Truth.

Is someone who has fallen flat on his face more rightly guided,

than one who walks standing up on the Right Path?

Say: “It is God who created you, and made you to hear and to see.

And, He made your hearts to feel, but how ungrateful you are.”

Say: “It is God who multiplied you throughout the earth.

And, to Him, you will all be gathered together.”

And, they reply, “When is this Covenant to take place,

if you are really Truthful?”

Say: “This Knowledge rests with God alone, and I am but a clear warner.”

But, when they see the punishment of that which they warned approaching,

the faces of the DisBelievers will be strained, and it will be said,

“Is this the punishment of which you warned?”

 “Inform me whether God will cause me to die,

 or whether God will have Mercy on us?

Who will protect the DisBelievers form the terrible punishment?

Say: “Allah is the Most Merciful.  We have Believed in Him,

and it is Him upon whom we rely.

And, you will come to know who is clearly in error.”

Say: “Have you thought if your water was submerged into the earth,

who could bring you forth springs but Him?
