surah 62 jummah prayers

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

All that is in the Heavens and the earth exalts Allah,

The Sovereign in Might,

the Most Pure,

the Most Exalted and Worthy of Praise,

the Most Knowledgeable.

It is He who selected a man from among them as a Messenger,

reciting to them Clear Verses and Wisdom,

purifying them of their sins, and

teaching them the Qur’an,

although they previously were in a state of DisBelief.

And, this wisdom was for those yet to come as well.

And, God is the Most Exalted in Might,

the Most Knowledgeable.

And, God possesses Great Bounty, which He shares to whom He wills,

and His Bounty is one of great abundance.

An example comes to mind of those who were entrusted with the Torah,

who did not put into practice the Word given to them,

as a donkey carrying a large load of great books,

who could not benefit from the contents of them.

It is evil the example of the people who denied the Signs of God.

And, God will not Guide a people who are bent on evil.

Say to them, “If you are a Believing People,

then wish for death, if you are Truthful.”

But, their belongings of this world are stronger than their Faith,

and they will not wish for death ever.

And, God is well acquainted with those who do wrong.

Say: “Indeed, the death you flee will surely catch you.

Then, you will be returned to the All Knowing

of both the Seen and the Unseen,

and He will inform you all you used to do in life.”

All you who Believe, when you hear the prayer call

for Friday Jummah prayers,

then go to the prayers in the remembrance of Allah,

and leave your business matters aside for a time.

That is best for you, if you only Knew.

And, when the Jummah prayers have ended,

go forth throughout the land,

seeking the Bounty of Allah.

And, remember God often so that you might succeed.

However, on one occasion, the prayers were distracted from some diversion,

and they left you standing there, O Muhammad.

Say to them: “What is with God is more important than some diversion.

And, Allah is the Most Bountiful and the Best of Providers.”
