surah 53 the star

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

By the star when it falls through the sky,

the Prophet Muhammad has not lost his way, nor has he got it wrong,

nor does he speak of his own will.

It is but a Revelation made known,

descended to him by the One immense in Might, the Archangel Gabriel,

strong in body and mind.

 And the angel ascended to him in his angelic form

in the sky of the horizon.

Then, he came forward and descended down to him

and was a couple lengths away or nearer.

And, He conveyed to God’s Servant, the Prophet Muhammad,

what He Revealed.

His heart did not deceive him in what he saw.

So do you Believe with him over what he saw?

And, he most assuredly saw him again on another occasion,

and he instructed him of the highest knowledge known to mankind,

to the utmost boundary.

 Near it is to the Garden of Paradise, when the Knowledge was descended to him.

The vision of the Prophet Muhammad did not go astray,

nor did it lapse.

He saw the greatest Signs of our Sovereign Lord.

So have you thought about the heathen goddesses the Arabs worshipped

prior to Islam,

al-Lat and al-Uzza?

And, Manat, the third one?

So, is the male one for you, and the female one for Him?

And, that is an unjust division according to their standards.

They are nothing but the names that you assign to them –

your forefathers and you –

and they have no authority from God.

They follow nothing but notions, and follow nothing but what their souls desire,

although the Sovereign Lord had offered them True Guidance.

Or, is there for mankind anything he desires?

Rather, God is the owner of the first life, as well as the Hereafter.

And, countless angels there are in the heavens, whose help will not aid you

without God’s intercession and help,

to whom He wills and consents to.

Indeed, those who do not Believe in the Hereafter like to give the angels names,

whilst they have no knowledge of them.

They follow nothing but speculation and conjecture,

and indeed, these things will not avail them against the Truth at all.

So turn away from anyone who has turned their back to the Truth,

and desires nothing but this earthly life and possessions.

That is sum of all their knowledge. 

Indeed, your Sovereign Lord is the Most Knowledgeable

of he who strays from the Right Path,

and He Knows who is Rightly Guided.

And, to God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth –

and He will punish those who do evil for what they have done,

 and reward those who do good with the finest rewards,

those who do not commit the major sins and immoralities, only minor ones.

Indeed, your Sovereign Lord is immeasurable in forgiveness.

He was the Most Knowledgeable when He created you from the earth,

and when you were fetuses in your mother’s womb.

So do you claim yourself to be untainted with sin;

whilst He is the All Knowing of He who fears Him.

Have you seen the one who turned away from Him,

or who gave a little in charity, but then stopped giving?

Does he have knowledge of the unseen as God does?

Or, was he not informed of what was in the Scripture of Moses,

or of Abraham who fulfilled his covenant,

that each will bear his own burden of sins,

and will not bear the burden of sins of another,

and that there is nothing for mankind except the good for which he strives,

and that his effort is going to be visible by Him,

and he will be rewarded to the fullest extent for his efforts.

And, to your Sovereign Lord we will all return,

and that it is He who makes us to cry and to laugh –

and that it is He who gives us life, and created death.

 He created the two sexes, male and female,

from a sperm drop emanated,

and incumbent on Him is the next creation.

And, it is He who provides sustenance to meet your needs.

 He is the Sovereign Lord of the Star Sirius, and all others.

He caused the first ‘Aad people to perish for DisBelief,

and as for Thamud, He did not pardon them,

nor the DisBelieving people of Noah before them.

Indeed, they were very oppressive and unjust.

And, the villages of the defiant people of Lot were destroyed and cast down,

and He covered them with a shower of stones.

Then, which of the Sovereign Lord’s blessings will you reject?

This Prophet Muhammad is a Messenger, like the former Messengers.

The Day is drawing near,

and besides God, there is none other to repent to.

And, at this statement do you question it?

And, you laugh, and do not weep for others,

and you carry on with your own merriment,

so prostrate to God and worship Him alone.
