surah 49 the chambers

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

All you who Believe,

do not revere yourself more than God and His Messenger,

and always be conscious of God.

Verily, God is the All Knowing and All Hearing.

All you who Believe,

do not speak above the voice of the Prophet,

or speak to him unkindly as you might to others,

less the Righteous good deeds you do will be rendered useless.

Indeed, the ones whose hearts Allah has selected for Righteousness are the ones

who speak kindly before the Messenger of God.

And, for them is forgiveness of sins, and an exalted reward.

Verily, some of the ones who speak to you in the Chambers do not understand this.

And, if they waited until you came out, it would have been better for them.

But, Allah is the Most Forgiving and the Most Merciful.

All you who Believe, if there comes to you a gossiping person,

investigate what they are saying or someone may be harmed by it

out of ignorance, or become ashamed over what they have done.

And, know that the Messenger of Allah is among you.

Allah has given you Faith, making it pleasing to you in your hearts.

And, He has made you to detest DisBelief and evil.

Therefore, be among the Rightly Guided.

It is a gift and blessing from Allah.

And, God is the All Knowing, Most Wise.

And, if two parties among the Believers are fighting,

then make peace between the two of them.

However, if one then continues to fight, then take a side against the offending party

until he returns to the ways of Allah.

And, if he returns to the path of Allah, then make peace between them justly,

and act with justice.

Indeed, God loves those who treat others justly.

The Believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brethren.

And, fear God so that you may receive His Mercy.

All you who Believe, do not let anyone make fun of any other person,

perhaps he or she is more Righteous than they themselves are.

And, do not be abuse one another, nor call each other hateful names.

It is evil to renounce one’s Faith, after one has accepted Faith.

And, whoever does this and does not repent, then it is they who are lost.

All you who Believe, avoid negative thinking about other people,

for some of it is sinful.

And, do not participate in backbiting or spying on one another.

It is hurtful to others.

And, fear God,

but know that God accepts repentance and is the Most Merciful.

Indeed, O mankind, God created the male and the female,

and made you people, and communities, so that you may know one another.

Indeed, the most pleasing in the sight of Allah

are the ones who are conscious of Him.

Verily, God is the All Knowing and is well acquainted with all you do.

Some of the desert Arab people say, “We Believe,”

although Faith had not entered their hearts.

To them say, “Say instead, We have submitted.

And, if they heed His Word and His Messenger,

He will not deprive you of the reward for your Righteous good deeds.

Indeed, Allah is the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.”

The Believers are the ones who Believe in God,

 and that the Prophet Muhammad was the Last Prophet, and do not doubt it.

And, they strive with their lives and their property in

 charity, and helping others.

It is those people who Know the Truth.

Say to those who worship other gods than Allah,

“Would you associate others with God when it is God who Knows all

that is in the Heavens and the earth?

And, God is Knowing of all things.”

To some, they consider it a blessing to you that they accepted Faith.

Say to them, “Do not consider your Faith as a blessing to me.

Rather, your Sovereign Lord has conferred a blessing on you

by Guiding you to Faith, if you are being truthful.”

Indeed, God knows every characteristic of the Heavens and the earth.

And, God is seeing of all that you do in life.
