surah 41 specific verses

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

Ha, Meem.

This is a Revelation from the Wholly Merciful, the Exceptionally Merciful –

a Qur’an with specific detailed verses, revealed unto you in your language,

for a people who Believe,

as a Bearer of good tidings, as well as a warning to mankind;

but yet many turn away, and do not listen to it.

And, they say, “Our hearts are sealed over from that to which you invite us,

and we are Unhearing to the Truth, and between you and us is a wall;

so strive in your cause, and we will strive in ours.”

Say to them, O Muhammad, “I am but a man like you to whom the Truth

has been revealed, your Lord is the one True God,

so turn to the Right Path and ask His Forgiveness.”

And, suffering will come to those who associate others with God –

those who do not give due charity of their wealth,

and DisBelieve in the Hereafter.

But, those who do Believe, and do Righteous good deeds,

they will receive continuous reward.

Say to the DisBelievers, “Do you not Believe in God who created the earth?

And, you associate others with Him

He is the Sovereign Lord presiding over all the worlds.”

And, He set firmly set mountains on the earth, and blessed it,

and established therein its sustenance in four days time –

for those who seek the Truth.

Then, He raised himself on the Supreme Throne of Authority,

and said to the earth, “Be”, and it enthusiastically was.

And, He established the Seven Heavens in two days,

and He familiarized each Heaven with its dominion.

And, We adorned the closest Heaven with stars abounding,

as beauty for the skies, and protection for the angels.

That is the decision of the Most Exalted in Might, the Most Wise.

But, if they turn away in DisBelief, say to them, “I cautioned you

about the thunderbolt, like the bolt that struck the ‘Aad and Thamud peoples,

that struck when the Messengers came before them, and after them,

saying, “Do not worship any but God alone.”

They replied, “If our lord had so willed, he would have sent the angels to us,

so, we DisBelieve in what you say you have been sent.”

As for the ‘Aad people, they were defiantly arrogant, saying,

“No one is greater than us in strength.”

Do they not know that God who created them is greater in strength?

But, they rejected Our Signs.

So, We sent a violent wind with harsh torment to the DisBelievers, to allow them

to sample the humiliating punishment of this worldly life; but,

the punishment in the Hereafter is even more humiliating,

and there will none who can help them.

And, We Guided the Thamud people,

but they preferred to be Unseeing to the Light,

preferring Darkness over Guidance, so the thunderbolt struck them

with a painful punishment destroying them for their DisBelief.

And, We rescued those who Believed, and feared God.

And, remind them, O Muhammad, of Judgment Day when God’s enemies

will be gathered together, and driven in rows to the Fiery Blaze of Hellfire.

And, when they reach the Fiery Blaze, their own bodies will be witnesses

 against them, of what they used to do in life.

And, they will ask their own flesh, “Why do you witness against me?”

The flesh will reply, “We were commanded to speak from God,

who has made everything to testify;

and He created you in the beginning, and to Him you will all return.”

And, you did not take care of and protect yourself, so your

hearing, your sight and your own flesh will testify against you,

because you assumed that God did not know of what you used to do in life.

And, that was your belief that you presumed about your Sovereign Lord.

It has brought you to destruction, and you have become among the Lost.”

So, even if they remain unwearied, the Fiery Blaze will be their abode;

and if they try to placate God, He will not be placated.

And, We assigned evil companions to them who made attractive to them

what was before them, and what was after them of their sin,

and the Decree came upon them, and upon DisBelieving civilizations before them,

and indeed, they were all among the Lost to DisBelief.

And, those who DisBelieve in the Qur’an say, “Do not listen to this Word,

and disrupt its recitation thereof, so that perhaps you will prevail over it.”

But, most assuredly, We will cause those who DisBelieve to suffer

a strict punishment, and We will return to them the worst of what they are doing.”

The compensation for God’s enemies is the Fiery Blaze of Hellfire.

For them is the eternal refuge of Hell as recompense

 for rejecting God’s Word.

And, those who DisBelieved will say, “O Lord, put those who led us astray

beneath our feet for having done so, so they will be among the lowliest.”

But, without a doubt, those who say, “Our Sovereign Lord is Allah (God),”

and who remain on the Right Path, the angels will come down to them saying,

“Do not be afraid, and do not be sad,

but receive your noble reward of Paradise, that you were promised.

We angels were your friends in this earthly life,

and we are your friends in the Hereafter.

And, you will have in Paradise what your soul yearns for,

and you will have therein whatever you long for,

as a gift from your Sovereign Lord, the Most Forgiving,

the Most Merciful.”

And, who is more Righteous than the one who invites other to the Truth,

and does Righteous good deeds,

and says, “I am among the Believing Muslims.”

And those who do good and those who commit evil are not treated the same.

Replace the evil of a bad action by doing something in return in kindness,

and your enemies will become converted as though they were your good friends.

But, none are bestowed Paradise except those who are enduring in Faith,

and those who do an abundance of Righteous good deeds.

And, if Satan allures you to do wrong, then seek refuge in God.

Unquestionably, He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.

And, in the sun and the moon, and the night and the day, are Signs

for those who Believe.  Do not worship the sun or the moon,

but worship God, who created you, if it is Him that you worship.

But, some remain arrogant in DisBelief. 

Those who are closest to their Sovereign Lord God worship him day and night,

and they never become tired.

And, when We descend rain from the skies, to a barren land, it

trembles and brings forth life.

In Truth, it is God who brings forth life,

and is the Giver of Life to the lifeless.

Certainly, He is over all creation, the Most Competent.

And, those who change the Word of God are not hidden from Us.

So, is the person who DisBelieves and is cast into the Fiery Blaze of Hellfire

the same as the one who Righteously comes forward on the Day of Resurrection?

Do what you may in life, but know that God is Seeing of all that you do.

In reality, those who DisBelieve in the Qur’an, after it has reached them,

will receive an indescribable punishment.

And, verily, the Qur’an is inimitable, and is a noble and powerful Book.

It is a Revelation from your Sovereign Lord God,

the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Wise,

and lies and mistruth cannot penetrate it from the front, or from the back.

Nothing has been Revealed to you, O Muhammad,

that was not revealed to God’s Messengers before you.

And, if truth be told, your Sovereign Lord possesses

both the ability for forgiveness, as well as retribution.

And, if We had descended the Qur’an in some other language than their own,

they would say, “Why wasn’t the Word explained in our own language?

Is it a foreign Word of God, with a foreign Messenger?

Say to them, “It is for those who Believe in God,

it is Guidance and will heal your heart.”

But, those who do not Believe in the Word of God, are Unhearing to the Truth,

and they cannot see the Light.

It is as if they are being called to something other than His Word.

And, We descended to Moses the Scripture, but it came to be opposed.

And, if not for His Decree, the matter would have been ended then.

And, in reality, they were a people who doubted His Word.

But, whoever does Righteous good deeds, it is better for his own soul;

and whoever commits evil does so against it. 

And, your Sovereign Lord God is never unjust to His followers.

And, God alone knows when the Final Hour will be.

And, He alone knows when fruit will emerge from a fruit tree,

and when a woman will conceive and give birth.

And, on Judgment Day, He will ask the polytheists,

“Where are your helpers that you worshipped now?”

And, they will reply, “We now declare that there is no longer

any witness among us to that.”

And, the ones they invoked besides God will be among the Lost,

and they will know that there is no means of escape.

Mankind is never tiring of praying for great blessings from God,

but when evil touches him, he becomes desperate and loses heart.

And, if We give him of His Mercy after adversity has befallen him,

he says arrogantly, “This is due me,

 and I do not Believe that the Final Hour will come.

And, even if I should be resurrected by my Sovereign Lord,

it will be for Him the best.”

But, We will notify those who DisBelieved about what they did in life,

and We will let them taste of the punishment they earned.

And, when We bestow blessings on mankind, he turns away

and distances himself from God.

But, when evil strikes him, he is full of extensive prayers and worship.

Say to them, “Have you thought about that if the Qur’an is from

the Sovereign Lord God, and you DisBelieved in it,

who would be more Lost than the one who arrogantly DisBelieved?

We will demonstrate Our Signs to mankind throughout the world,

and within their own hearts, until the Truth becomes Clear to them.

But, isn’t it enough that your Sovereign Lord God is over all things a Witness?

Undoubtedly, the DisBelievers question the final encounter

with their Sovereign Lord God.

But, He Knows and Encompasses all creation.
