Surah 21 the prophets

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

 

The Final Accounting had approached for the people, but,

they turned away from the Truth without regard for it.

No reminder comes to them any more from their Lord God,

but that they hear it while they amuse themselves, with their insincere hearts.

 And, those who do evil hide their intimate

 conversations, saying, “Is this man anything but a human being like yourself?

So would you draw near to sorcery while you are knowledgeable of it?”

He said, “The Lord God Knows all that is in the Heavens and the earth,

and He is the All Hearing, the Most Knowledgeable.”

But, the DisBelievers say, “The Message is nothing but a combination

 of untrue visions; he has made it up; rather, he is a poet of a sort.

So, let him show us a Sign, just as the prior Messengers were sent with Signs.”

Not a civilization that was destroyed before them Believed,

so won’t they Believe in God?

And, We sent Messengers before you, O Muhammad, people to whom

 We Revealed the Message, if you did not know this.

And, We did not create the Messengers in forms that did not consume food,

nor were they undying.

Then, We fulfilled for them the Covenant, and We spared whom We willed to,

and destroyed the sinners.

We have most assuredly descended down to you the Qur’an,

in which you are mentioned.  So, will you not understand?

And, how many an unjust civilization did We ruin, and create another

 people after them.

And, when the inhabitants comprehended God’s punishment,

suddenly they tried to escape from it.

“Do not escape, but rather return to where you were given comfort, go to your

homes, maybe you will be given reprieve from it.”

They replied, “O misery to us!  In reality, we were among those who did evil in life.”

And, that statement of theirs did not stop until We made them a harvest reaped.

And, We did not create the Heavens and the earth,

 and everything in between them, out of amusement. 

Had We meant to take a diversion, We could have taken it,

if We were inclined to do so.

And, We shroud falsehood with the Truth, and it destroys falsehood,

and it dissipates thereafter.  And, for the DisBelievers is destruction of that

 which is described.

To Him belongs all that is in the Heavens and the earth.

And, those close to Him are not stopped by arrogance from worshipping Him,

nor do they feel weary.

They exalt and give praise to Him every night and day, and do not forget to.

Or, have the DisBelivers found from the earth something who will raise the dead?

Had there been others besides God, they surely would have been

destroyed.  So exalted is Allah, Lord God of the Supreme Throne of Authority,

above what they portray. 

He is not asked about what He does, but they will be in the End.

Or have they taken things to worship besides God? 

Say, “Show us your proof. 

This is the Message for those who follow me,

and the Message of those

preceding me."

  But, some of them still do not Know the Truth, and they turn away.

And, to you and to every Messenger We descended, We revealed that

“There is no other god except God, so worship Him alone.”

And, some in error say, “The Most Merciful One has taken a child.”

  Exalted is God alone!   In reality, they are but blessed Servants of the Almighty One.

They cannot come before Him in Word, and they do all things by His Command.

He Knows what lays before them, and what will come after them,

and they cannot intercess except by His Holy Will.  And, they are fearful of Him.

And, whoever amongst them should say, “I am a god like Him – that one We will

punish with Hellfire.  Thus, do We punish the evildoers.

Do those who DisBelieve know that the Heavens and the earth were once

a combined entity, and We divided them

 and created from water every living creature?  So, will they not Believe then in Allah?

And, We set thereon firmly set mountain ranges, or it might shift under them,

and We created therein passageways and roads that they might be Guided.

And, We created the skies as a protective upper limit,

 but they turn away from its Signs.

And, it is God who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon;

and all heavenly bodies are spinning in their celestial orbit.

And, We did not bestow to any person before you an eternity on earth;

so if you perish – would they be everlasting?

Every soul will experience death.  And, at times We try you

with evil or good as a trial; and to Allah you will all be returned one day.

And, when those who DisBelieve see you, they don’t take you but in mockery,

saying, “Is this the one who talks about your God?”

And, they are at the very mention of the Most Merciful One’s name DisBelieving.

  Mankind was created with swiftness.  I will demonstrate to you My Signs,

so do not be impatiently hastening Me to show them to you.

And, the DisBelievers say, “So when is this going to take place if you

 are being Truthful?”  And, if those who DisBelieved knew the Time,

they would not be turned away from the Blaze, from their faces or their backs,

and there will be no help for them.

Instead, it will come to them suddenly and amaze them, and they will

not be able to hold it back, nor will they be pardoned.

And, already were Prophets before you mocked, but those who made fun of

them were immersed in what they used to make fun of.

Say to them, “Who can watch over you at night or during the day other than the Most

Merciful One?  But they are turning away from the remembrance of Him.

Or, do they have something to save them from harm other than God alone? 

These idols and people are unable to help even themselves, nor can they be defended.

But, We gave to them good provision, and to their fathers, in anticipation of

life being extended for them.  So, don’t they see that We bestowed Faith

throughout the land, thereby reducing the boundaries between people. 

So will it be the DisBelievers who will triumph?

Say, “I only caution you by Revelation given to me.”

But, the UnHearing do not Hear the Word when they are cautioned.

And, if in so much as a hint of the punishment of the Lord God should touch them,

they most assuredly say, “O misery to us!  Really, we have been doers of evil.”

And, We set the scales of Justice on Resurrection Day, so no soul will be treated

unfairly at all.  And, if even if a deed the weight of a mustard seed has taken place,

We will cause it to come forth for Judgment.

 And, adequate enough is God and the angels as accountants.

And, We had previously given to Moses and Aaron the criterion between

right and wrong, a Light, and a remembrance for those who are upright,

who fear their Sovereign Lord God sight unseen, while fearful of the Final Hour.

And, this Qur’an is a blessed Message that We have descended down.

So, are you still unaware of it?

And, We most assuredly gave to Abrahim moral judgment previously,

and We were very knowledgeable about him, when he told his father and his

people, “What are these idols that you worship and are devoted to?”

They replied, “Our forefathers worshipped them.”

He said, “You are your forefathers were in grave error in doing so.”

They said, “Have you come to us with the Truth, or are you of those who are

teasing?”  He replied, “No, your Lord God is the Lord of the Heavens and

the earth, the Creator of them, and I to that am a witness.

And, by Allah, I promise that I will surely strategize against your false idols

after you have turned and left.”

So, he tore them into shreds, except a large one amongst them, so that they

might return to the idol and ask what happened.

They said, “Who did this to our idols?  Really, he has done something wrong.”

They replied, “We heard it was a young man named Abrahim.”

They said, “So bring him before us so they may testify against him.”

They said, “Did you do this to our idols Abrahim?”

He replied, “No it was this – the largest of them that did it – so ask it,

if it should be able to reply to you.”

He said further, “So why you worship idols other than God that will not

help you at all, nor harm you? Off, to you, and what you worship, other than God.

So will you not understand?”

They replied, “Burn him, and hold up your idols – if you are to do something.”

We said, “O fiery blaze, be cool and impart safety to Abrahim.”

And, they intended for him harm, but We made them suffer defeat.

And, We delivered Lot and him to safety to the blessed land.

And, We bestowed upon him Jacob and Isaac, and also, We made them

all of the Righteous.  And, We made them chosen guiding others by Our command.

And, We invoked them to do righteous good deeds, to establish regular prayer,

and giving of due charity to the needy; and they worshipped God.

And, to Lot We bestowed knowledge and wisdom, and We rescued him

from the city that was committing evil deeds.  In reality, they were a people

who were evil, and perversely rebellious.

And, We welcomed him unto Our Mercy.  And, indeed, he was of the pious ones.

And, remember Noah when he called upon the Lord God beforehand,

so We responded to him, and rescued him and his family from the great flood.

And, We rescued him from the people who rejected Our Signs.

Without a doubt, they were an evil people,

so they were drowned in the great flood altogether.

And, remember King David and his Solomon, when they ruled regarding the field,

when the hungry sheeplike people overran the fields eating them at night,

and We were observers to their judgment.

And, We enlightened Solomon with the understanding of the case,

and to both of them We gave great knowledge and power to rule.

And, We ordered the mountain ranges to exalt and give praise to Allah,

as We did to David, and all the birds in the trees.

And, God does as He Wills.

And, We instructed him how to make shields to protect you from your battle.

So, will you then be thankful to Him?

And, Solomon, the wind blew forcefully toward him, foregoing by his control

towards the land that We had blessed. 

And, We are always over all things Knowledgeable.

And, there were wind devils that dove for him and did other things for him.

And, We were guardian over them.

And, remember Job, when he beckoned his Sovereign Lord God,

“Really, adversity has overcome me,

and You are the Most Merciful of the Merciful.”

So, We responded to his prayers, and removed the torment that afflicted him.

And, We gave him a family, and the likes thereof with them,

as Mercy from Us, and a remembrance for the worshippers of Allah.

And, remember Ishmael, Idrees, and Ezekial; all were enduring and courageous.

And, We welcomed them into Our Mercy. 

Indeed, they were of the upright in Faith.

And, remember Jonah with the fish, when he left angrily believing that We

would not aid him.  And, he called out in the darkness,

 “There is no God but You alone, exalted are you Lord God.

Forgive me, for without a doubt, I have been of the evildoers.”

So, We responded to his prayers and rescued him from his distress.

And, thus do We rescue the Believing People.

And, remember Zechariah, when he called out to his Lord God,

“Lord, do not leave me without a child heir, and You are

the Finest of Inheritors.”

So, We responded to his prayers, and We gave to him a son, John,

and made changes to his wife.  And, without a doubt, they would hurry to do

good righteous deeds, and pray to Us in both hope and fear.

And, they were uniquely humble and submissive to Us.

And, remember the Virgin Mary who guarded her virginity,

so We descended life into her womb through Our angel, and We

prepared her and her son as a Sign for all mankind.

And, without a doubt, this Faith is one True Faith,

and I am Your Sovereign Lord God so worship Me alone.

                And, yet they divided the religion between themselves,

but all will return to Us.    

So, whoever performs righteous good deeds while a Believer   -

there will be no denying his good efforts – and, We are recorders of all deeds.        

And, there is a ban upon the civilizations that were ruined for DisBelief

 to ever return, until the Gog and Mag are let through the barrier,

and they from every height descend.

And, the true Covenant is approaching, when suddenly,

the eyes of the UnBelievers, while be glaring in horror, while they say,

“O misery and suffering will come to us!  We were among the people who

were unmindful of Faith, and, without a doubt, we were evildoers in life.”

And, without a doubt, the UnBelievers, and the false idols they worship other than God,

will be the kindling wood of  Hellfire.  They will enter to burn therein.

Had those false idols they worshipped been actual gods;

they would not have descended into Hell, but they will dwell therein eternally.

For them therein is heavy weeping,

but they therein will not be able to hear the cries.

But, those for whom the finest reward of Pardise has come from Us –

they are far removed from Hellfire.

The Believers will not be able to hear Hells' cries, while they are residing in what

their souls desired, to abide therein eternally.

They will not be saddened by the great terror, and the angels will greet them

saying, “This is the Day that you were promised.”

And, on that Final Day We will fold up the Heavens

 like the folding of a record sheet.

 As We initiated the first of creation, We will create again.

This is a covenant that is binding upon Us.  And, indeed, We will do as We will to.

And, We had already inscribed in the Book of Psalms,

that the land of Paradise will be there for God’s Righteous followers.

And, also, in this Qur’an is a similar notice for the Believing people.

And, We did not send you, O Muhammad, except as a blessing to mankind.

Say to them, “It is truly Revealed to me that your God is the One True God,

so will you not Believe in Him?”

But, if the DisBelievers turn away from you, then reply,

“I have told you all of the Truth equally.  And, I do not know whether

what is to come is near or far away.

Indeed, God Knows what is said aloud, and He Knows what is hidden.

And, I know not but that it might be a trial for you,

and enjoyment for a given length of time.”

The Prophet said, “My Lord God, judge between us in Truth.

And, Our Lord God is the Most Merciful One,

the One whose aid is sought against that which you describe in detail.”
