84 the sky splitting

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

The Day when the sky has split open,

it will listen and respond to God's command.

And, the earth will become stretched out flat,

 casting the dead out of their graves.

It, too, will listen and respond to the command of its Sovereign Lord,

 and obey Him.

O People, you are indeed hastening toward Your Lord with great force,

and, you will meet Him, your Sovereign Lord, in the Hereafter.

Then, as for he whose scale in life favors good deeds in his right hand,

he will be judged easily and lightly,

and return to his people in happiness.

But, as for he whose scale in life favors bad deeds,

his scale is placed behind his back,

he will cry out his blasphemies,

and enter to burn in the Fiery Blaze.

Indeed, he once lived among his people in happiness;

And, indeed, he never thought he would return to God.

But yes!  His Sovereign Lord was ever seeing of all that he did in life.

So by the twilight’s glow,

and, by the night and what it encompasses,

and by the moon when it becomes full,

I promise that you will embark on life experiences,

both in this life, and the Hereafter.

So what is the matter with them, why won’t they Believe?

And, when the Qur’an is recited to them, why do they not worship God?

But, those who DisBelieve deny the Truth,

and God knows what they indeed try to hide within themselves.

So, give them warning of the painful punishment.

But, those who Believe, and do righteous good deeds,

for them is a never ending reward.
