(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)
I promise by the Day of Resurrection,
and, I promise by the reproaching soul,
as to the certainty of the Resurrection.
Doesn’t he think that We created him?
Yes, We are able to make him right down to his fingertips.
But, mankind desires to continue living in sin.
He asks, “Exactly when is the Day of Resurrection?”
So when one’s vision becomes blurred,
and the moon becomes darkened,
and the sun and moon come together,
Mankind will say on that Day, “Where is our escape?”
No, there is no place to hide.
To your Sovereign Lord you all will be returned on that Day.
Mankind will be informed on that Day of all his good deeds,
as well as the deeds he held back from or delayed.
Mankind will be a witness against himself,
even if he then tries to make excuses for himself.
O Muhammad, do not move your lips to hasten the recitation of the Qur’an.
Indeed, upon Us is its collection in your heart,
and to make possible the recitation of it.
So, when we have recited it through the Archangel Gabriel,
then follow the recitation therein.
Then, upon Us is the clarification that you may understand it.
No! But, mankind loves the here and now,
and leave nothing but neglect behind them in the Hereafter.
Some faces on that Day will be radiant with Light
at seeing their Creator in Paradise,
and, some faces, will be distorted,
as though they are about to receive a backbreaking punishment.
No! When the soul is ready to leave the body at death,
and, it is asked, “Who will heal him,”
and the dying one is certain that it is time to depart,
and he sees the forthcoming life of the Hereafter,
then, verily, to Your Sovereign Lord is to whom he will be returned.
And, the DisBeliever had not worshipped God at all, or Believed in Him.
But, instead he denied the Truth, and turned away.
And then, he went to his people staggering with pride.
Misery to you, and misery indeed!
Then again, misery to you, and misery indeed!
Does Mankind think that he will not be returned to his Creator for Judgment?
Wasn’t he nothing but a sperm drop before,
then he became a clinging life substance in the womb,
and, God created and proportioned him just so?
And, from him, God made two more people, a man and a woman.
Isn’t it only our Creator who can bring life forth, from what was not living?
