56 will come to pass

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

 

When the Resurrection will come to pass,

there will be no denying it.

It will send some down, and rise up others.

The Day when the earth will shudder,

and the mountains will come down crumbling,

and become but dispersed dirt.

And of mankind, there will be three kinds of people:

There will be the Companions of the Right,

whose good deeds exceed the bad in life,

who are destined for the Gardens of Paradise.

And, what do you Know of the Companions of the Right?

And, there will Companions of the Left,

those whose bad deeds outweigh the good,

who will be destined for Hellfire.

And, what do you Know of the Companions of the Left?

And, the Predecessors, the predecessors

are the ones brought near to Allah

in the Gardens of Delight,

a large group of the former civilizations.

And, a few of the later people as well,

who will sit on woven, adorned thrones,

to sit thereon facing one another.

There will mingle among them eternal cherubs,

with vessels, a pitcher and cup,

filled with the finest waters from the Paradise spring.

No pain will they have, nor will they ever be intoxicated,

and they will be given sustenance of the finest select Garden fruits,

and the nourishment of fine poultry from whatever they may desire.

And, for them are spouses, fine and sincere, with large beautiful eyes,

whose eyes sparkle like well kept pearls,

as a reward for all the good Righteous deeds they did in life.

They will not hear any unkind words,

nor will any sin be against them,

and, they will only hear the words: “Peace, peace.”

The Companions of the Right –

what are the Companions of the Right?

They will possess the ultimate limits of human intellect,

and will be given fruits trees laden with fruit in the Garden,

with shade over them,

and water flowing beneath them.

And, abundant sustenance will be given to them in Paradise,

neither limited, nor prohibited,

and they will rest upon soft beds raised high.

And, the people in Paradise will be given new life,

and they will become pure again,

devoted to their spouse of equal age.

For the Companions of the Right, are comprised of both

people from the former civilizations, and the later ones.

And, the Companions of the Left – who are the Companions of the Left?

They will be in the Burning Fire and Scalding Water.

And, black smoke will be their shade,

neither cool, nor of use.

Indeed, before in life, they were of the indulgent wealthy people,

and they used to persist in DisBelief,

and they would say, “When we perish and become dust, will we be resurrected?

And, our ancestors as well, what of them?”

O Prophet Muhammad, say:  “Verily, the former and latter civilizations

will be gathered altogether on the Day of Resurrection.”

Then, indeed, you who DisBelieve,

will be given secretions to eat and scalding water to drink.

And, they will drink like thirsty camels,

that is their place on the Day of Resurrection.

We created you, so why don’t you Believe?

Do you see the Life Substance you emit?

Is it you who created it, or are We the Creator?

We have ordered some of you to perish, and We will not be outdone.

And, in so doing, We will change your resemblance and

make you into some form that you do not know.

And, you know about the First Creation, so why won’t you understand?

And, have you seen the seeds that are tilled?

Is it you that makes the seeds grow, or Us?

If We so willed it, we could make it but dry debris, and you would regret it,

saying, “Now, we are in arrears,

no, rather, we have been deprived.”

And, have you seen the water that you drink?

Is it you that caused it to descend from the clouds,

 or is it Us who caused it to descend?

If We so willed it, We could make it to taste bitter, so why are you so ungrateful?

And, have you seen the fire that you light?

Is it you who brought the tree into being, or were We the Creator?

We made it as a reminder of the Great Fire of Hell,

and as an aid to the traveler who needs a flint.

So exalt and give praise to Your Sovereign Lord, the Most Great.

Then, I promise by the setting of the stars,

and indeed it is a promise – most great.

Indeed, this is the Noble Qur’an,

in a Preserved Slate before God that is well protected.

None can touch it but the purified angels,

and it is a Revelation from the Sovereign Lord of all the Worlds.

And yet you are indifferent,

and are unthankful for all the sustenance the Provider has given to you.

Then, why at death when the soul reaches the throat,

and, you are at the moment looking on it,

and We are nearer to Him than you, you still do not see,

then why don’t you if you are not to be resurrected,

return the soul to the body if you are the owner of it.

And, if the deceased is brought nearer to God,

then for him is respite and a reward of Gardens of Delight.

And, if He was one of the Companions of the Right, then the Angels will say,

“Peace be upon you, for you are of the Companions of the Right.”

However, if He was one who DisBelieved in God and went astray,

then for him is the place of scalding water,

and flaming in Hellfire.

Indeed, this is a true assurance.

So exalt the name of your Sovereign Lord, the Most Great.
