51 the dispersing winds

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

 

By the winds that disperse dust, scattering it about,

and, the clouds that bring you rain,

and, by the ships that sail through the seas with ease,

and, by the angels who assign each matter,

indeed, what is covenanted is the Truth.

And, verily, the Day of Recompense will come about.

And, by the heavens with different layers,

indeed, the Prophet Muhammad, has something different to say.

Those who are deluded away from the Truth are the ones who are misled.

Cursed are those who blasphemy and falsify the Truth,

they are in a deluge of confusion, and are unmindful,

they ask, “When is the Day of Recompense?”

It is the day they will anguish over the Fire.

And, they will be told, “Taste your suffering. 

This is what you were waiting for.”

On the other hand, the Righteous will have Gardens of Paradise,

with rivers flowing beneath,

Believing in what their Sovereign Lord gave to them.

And, before that, they were a people who did Righteous good deeds in life.

They prayed in the night hours,

and in the hours before sunrise, they asked their Sovereign Lord for forgiveness,

and they gave to the needy and disadvantaged of their property in charity.

And, on the earth are Signs for the strong in Faith,

and those who are true to themselves. Do you see?

And, Heaven is your gift, and what you were promised.

Then, by the Sovereign Lord of all the heavens and earth it is the Truth –

just as surely as we are talking.

Has there come to you the story of Allah’s honored angels

who were guests of Abrahim?

They descended upon him, saying, “Peace.”

He replied, “Peace be upon you, for you are something unknown to me.”

Then, he ran to his family and gathered a fat calf,

and placed it before them, saying, “Will you please eat?”

And, he felt from them some concern.  And the angels said, “Fear not,”

and gave him good blessings as a Righteous man.

And, his wife stricken with grief, said, “I am not as young as I used to be,

and I am without child.”

They replied, “Thus has spoken your Sovereign Lord;

for He is the All Knowing and Most Wise.”

Abrahim said, “Then what is your occasion to be here, O Messengers?”

The angels said, “Indeed, we have been sent down because of the

defiant people of Lot,

in order to descend a shower of clay stones upon them,

because they have been marked in the presence of our Lord as sinners.”

So, We brought out all of the Believers who were remaining in the cities.

And, we found out that there was but one Muslim family.

And, we departed leaving a Sign for those

who fear the horrible punishment.

And, Moses was sent a Sign as well,

when we sent him with Clear Proof before the Pharaoh.

But, Pharaoh turned away with his followers, saying,

“He is a sorcerer, or a mad man.”

So, we took Pharaoh and his armies, and drowned them in the seas,

and Pharaoh was to blame.

And, with ‘Aad was a Sign, when we drove him against the barren wind.

It left nothing standing it came upon, nothing but crumbled ruins.

And, in Thamud, it was said to them, “Enjoy yourselves for a set time.”

But, they did not heed their Lord’s command,

so the thunderbolt destroyed them whilst they were looking on.

                   And, they were unable to get up, nor could they defend themselves.

And, We destroyed the people of Noah before them;

indeed, they were a perversely rebellious people.

And, We created with fortitude the heavens, and verily,

it is Us who can expand it.

And, We spread out the earth, and how excellent is its Maker.

And, for all things we created a mate, perhaps you will bear this in mind.

So, take refuge and Believe in God.
 
Indeed, from Him, I am a Clear Messenger.

And, do not take any other deity as equal to God.

Indeed, from Him, I am a Clear Messenger.

Like those before me, the earlier Messengers were similarly called,

“A sorcerer or a mad man.”

Did they pass these words on to the Morgans?

Or, are they instead, also a DisBelieving people.

So turn away from them, O Muhammad, for you are not to blame.

And, remind them of God’s Message, for indeed,

 the reminder will be of assistance to the Believers.

And, God said, “I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

I do not want anything else from them, nor do I want them to feed Me.”

Verily, it is God who is the Provider for all creation,

the unyielding Owner of Great Strength.

And, indeed, for those who do wrong is their just punishment,

like the punishment of their predecessors, so do not let them oppose God.

And, suffering will come to those who have DisBelieved,

 on the Day they are promised.
