19 mary, mother of jesus

(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

 

Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Sad.

This is a reminder of the Mercy of your Sovereign Lord God

to His Servant, Zechariah,

when he called upon the Lord God in a private prayer.

He said, “My Lord, without a doubt, my bones have aged,

and my head is now covered with white hair,

but never have I been unhappy with you in my prayers.

And, really, I fear for the descendants after me,

and my wife has been without child, so

please give to me an heir who will inherit from me,

and inherit from the family of Jacob.

And, please make him, my Sovereign Lord God,

a child pleasing to You.”

He was told, “O Zechariah, We give you good news of a baby boy

whose name will be John.  We have not given any this name before.”

He replied, “My Lord, how can I have a baby boy when

I am so elderly, and my wife is without child?

“Thus,” Your Sovereign Lord said, “And, it was easy for Me,

for I created you earlier, and you did not exist before.”

Zechariah said, “Lord, make for me of Your Signs.”

He replied, “You will not speak to anyone for three whole nights.”

So, he went out to his brethren from his prayer chamber,

and commanded them to exalt and give praise to God,

both in the morning and in the afternoon.

And, We give him a baby boy with Faith.

God said, “John, take with Scripture and be steadfast

in Faith.  And, We gave him the attribute of devotion from Us,

and purity of heart, and he was ever conscious of God,

and respectful to his parents.  And, he was not of the DisBelievers.

Peace be upon him the day he was born,

and the day that he perishes, and the day he is resurrected.

And, remind them, O Muhammad, of the story of Mary,

when she left her family to begin her journey eastward.

And, she went to a secluded place, when We sent to her

Our Angel, that appeared to her as a man.

She said, “Without a doubt, I take refuge in the Most Merciful One,

and am a God-fearing woman.” 

He said, “I am only the Messenger of God to give you good news of

a child of Faith.”  

She said, “How can this be when no man has touched me,

nor have I been unfaithful?”

And, God said, “Thus,” and “It was easy for Me.

We will make the child as a Sign to mankind,

as well as a Sign of Mercy from Us.”

And, it is a decreed matter.

So, she gave birth to the baby Jesus, and she took him to a remote location.

And, she was driven to an area beneath a palm tree,

and because she was in pain in childbirth,

she said, “I wish I had perished before this,

and was in the great beyond already, ancient history.”

But, he called to her from inside her, “Do not be sad; your Lord God

has provided for you an area where streams flow beneath.

And, pull toward you the trunk of the palm tree, and it will

descend upon you fresh, ripe dates.

So eat of the dates, and drink the spring water, and be happy.

And, if you see anyone about you tell them, “Indeed, I have promised

to the Most Merciful One that I will abstain, so I will not speak to any man.”

Then, she brought the baby Jesus to her family, carrying him.

They said, “Mary, you have really done something never done before.

O Aaron’s sister, your father was not a bad man, nor your mother impure.”

Then, she pointed to the child.

They said, “How can we speak to a child still in the cradle?”

And, the child said, “I am the Messenger of God.

He has revealed to me the Holy Scripture, and made me a Prophet.

And, He has blessed me wherever I am,

and He has commanded me to pray and give in charity as long as I live.

And, He made me close to my mother.

And, He did not make me a DisBeliever.

And, peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I will perish,

and the day I will be resurrected.”

That is Jesus, the Son of Mary – the Word of Truth on which they disagree.

It is not suitable to say that God has a son, exalted is He!

When He decrees a matter He says to it, “Be,” and it is.

And, Jesus said, “Allah is my Sovereign Lord God, and your Lord God,

so worship him alone.  That is the Right Path.”

Then, the different denominations,

woe be upon them who DisBelieve in God – on Judgment Day.

How they will see and hear on the Day they come to Us.

And, the people who are doing wrong today are clearly in error as well.

And, warn them of the Day of Judgment, when the matter will be ended,

and yet, they are still in a state of unmindfulness, and they still don’t Believe.

Without a doubt, it is Us who will inherit the earth and whatever is on it,

and to Us they will all return.

And, mention in the Book, O Muhammad, the story of Abraham.

Unquestionably, he was also a man of the Truth, and a prophet as well.

He said to his father, “Why do you worship an idol that cannot hear,

and does not see, and will not help you at all?”

Father, indeed there has come to me knowledge that had not come to you,

so come with me; I will guide you to the Right Path.

Do not worship Satan,

for He is always been disobedient to the Most Merciful One.

I fear that the punishment will touch you from Him,

and you would be a companion of Satan in Hellfire.”

His father replied, “Have you no fondness for my gods, Abraham?

If you do not stop I will surely stone you.  So avoid me for a long time.”

He said, “Peace be upon you.  I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord God.

Indeed, He hears my prayers.

And, I will depart from you, and those you call upon besides God,

and I will pray to my Sovereign Lord God.

And, I will not be displeased in my prayers to Him.”

Then, he left them, and those they called upon besides God,

and We gave him Jacob and Isaac, each made a Prophet.

And, We bestowed Our Mercy, and We made them in the ranks of the righteous.

And mention, O Muhammad, in the Qur’an about Moses.

Without a doubt, he was also selected by God as a Messenger and Prophet.

And, We called to him at Mount Sinai, and drew him close, confiding in him.

And, We bestowed out of Our Mercy his brother, Aaron, the status of Prophet.

And mention, O Muhammad, in the Qur’an about Ishmael as well.

Without a doubt, he was true to his word, and he was a Prophet and a Messenger.

And, he commanded his people to pray, and give due charity,

and he was pleasing to His Sovereign Lord God.

And, mention, O Muhammad, in the Qur’an about Idress.

Without a doubt, he was a man of Truth and a Prophet.

And, We raised him to the ranks of the righteous.

Those were the ones God bestowed His blessing from among the prophets

of Adam and Eve’s descendants, and of those We carried in the ship of Noah,

and the descendants of Abrahim, and of those whom We Guided and selected.

When the verses of the Most Merciful One are recited,

they fall down in prayer, crying.

And, there came after them latter generations who neglected prayer,

and pursued pleasures; so they are going to meet the consequences of their error.

Except those who repent to Him; Believe in God,

and go Righteous good deeds; they will be welcomed in Paradise,

and will not be punished at all.

There are Gardens of Perpetual Abode that the Most Merciful One

has promised His Servants in the unseen Heavens.

Indeed, that to which all will come.

They will not hear therein any unkind words – only words of peace –

and they will have sustenance therein, in the morning and afternoon.

We give as inheritance to those who fear Allah,

and are His Faithful Servants, Gardens of Paradise.

“We angels descend not except by the command of your Lord God.

To Him belongs all that is before us, and all that is behind us,

all that is in between.  And, never is your Lord God unmindful of you –

Lord of the Heavens and the earth, and all that is in between them.

So worship Him and be steadfast in Faith.

Do you know any like unto Him?”

And, the DisBelievers say, “After I have died, am I really going to be resurrected?”

Doesn’t mankind remember that We created him before,

 and he came into being when he had not existed before.

So, by your Sovereign Lord, We will most certainly gather them altogether,

and the evil ones; and We will bring them to their knees in Hellfire.

And, We will surely select from the denominations in error,

those who were the most disrespectful against the Most Merciful One.

And, at the time, We will be the most knowledgeable of those

worthy of burning in Hellfire.

And, this will not come except to the ones who deserve it.

This is an inevitable decree of your Sovereign Lord God.

But, We will save those who feared God, and leave those who did wrong

to burn in the Fiery Blaze, upon their knees.

And, when Our Verses are recited to them as Clear Proof, the DisBelievers

saying to the Believing People, “Which of us is in the best position,

and in the best of company?”

And, how many a civilization before did We destroy before them

who had more possessions, and were more beautiful in appearance?

Say, “Whoever is not Believing – let the Most Merciful One

grant him an extension, until, when they see that what they were promised,

either punishment in this world or the Hereafter – they will come to know

who is in the best position and stronger in strength.”

And, God gives to those who were Guided to the Right Path with Guidance,

and the long rewarding righteous good deeds are better to your Sovereign Lord

for reward sake, and is the better alternative.

But, have you seen the man who DisBelieved in Our Verses, saying,

“I will surely be given wealth and progeny”?

Has he gazed into the unseen Heavens,

or has he some promise from the Most Merciful One?

No.  We will record what he says, and increase his punishment.

And, We will do the reverse of what he asks,

and he will be forced to face Us alone.

And they have taken besides God false idols that are for them a source of pride.

No!  These same idols will deny those people worshiped them in the End,

and they will be their enemies.

Don’t they know that We sent the evil ones among the DisBelievers,

drawing them constantly to do evil?

So, don’t be anxious over them.  We only reckon to them their bad deeds.

And, on the Day, We will gather the Faithful to the Most Merciful One

as a group of Believers.

And, We will drive the DisBelievers to Hellfire in thirst,

and none will have help except the one who Believed in the Most Merciful One,

and worshiped none other than Him.

And, some claim that “The Most Merciful One has begotten a son.”

And, this is an appalling thing to say.

The heavens almost rip apart, and the earth crack open,

and the mountains disintegrate in destruction,

at the thought that they attribute to the Most Merciful One progeny.

And, it is not suitable that the Most Merciful One should have a child.

There is none in the Heavens or on the earth, but that draws close to

the Most Merciful One as a servant.

He has reckoned them and has made a full accounting.

And, all will come before him on Judgment Day alone.

And, those who Believed in Him, and did Righteous good deeds –

the Most Merciful One will be pleased with them.

So, We have created the Qur’an easily understandable in your language,

that you may give good news thereby to the righteous people,

and warn thereby the unreceptive people.

And, how many civilizations before them did We destroy for their DisBelief?

Does anyone understand them, or do hear anything from them?
